Hi, I'm Pearlin McCarthy, the face behind Pearlin Hair and Makeup.
I'm a mum of two with a laid back personality and a deep passion for what I do. I love having a good time, and always aim to create an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment wherever I go.
Originally starting my career in graphic design, I've always had a strong creative flair and keen eye for details. I've been working in hair and makeup artistry for over 15 years, and absolutely love working with each and every client to hear about, and bring their vision to life.
Whether you're going all out for a big day, or just want something subtle for an intimate occasion, you can trust that I'll always make sure you feel comfortable and look great with the style we create.

Pearlin's scope of hair styling and makeup artistry not only covers bridal and special events. As a specialist in creative makeup and Hollywood Waves, she is well known and sought-after for her themed creations and ability to create looks a little more bespoke than just your normal glam.
After two sold-out masterclasses, she has also become known as one of Perth's "Wave Queens" having perfected the Hollywood Waves hair technique.
Pearlin is also not a stranger to the competitive makeup world. She's entered numerous national makeup competitions, and is all for putting herself out of her comfort zone in order to level up.

Pearlin has worked in the beauty industry for over 20 years. Her eye for detail and creativity began with a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Fashion and Photography.

As a mobile hair and makeup artist, Pearlin's no stranger to travel. While she predominantly works throughout Perth and the South West, she's open to travelling to whatever location her bride's hearts desire.
From Tasmania, to New Zealand and even Sri Lanka, Pearlin's travelled far and wide for her brides, and is happy to do so for clients able to cover the travel arrangements.
For trials and clients who don't require mobile services, Pearlin operates out of her fully-equipped home-based salon in Carramar, WA.
